words that breathe oxygen

You

Ice, in my sprite, reminds me of you.

Cold, strident and severe, spearing through.

Ice, wrapped in a towel, additionally resembles,

Your elixir cures heartlessly, illusory fundamentals.

Hot cocoa dancing on my tongue, reminds me of her.

Dreadful and vile, pain’s ghastly stirrer.

Sweet subtle hint after swift intake was admirable,

Verbose, loquacious words, dire and intolerable.

Doused in water, hair sopping wet in shampoo.

Lucid recalls, reminiscence ensue.

My eyes, distraught, throbbing and tender.

Subsequent locks of silk, intertwined with splendor.

I mourn your loss, and think of you fondly,

But your ability to make me cry is beyond me.

Anything, everything I do, can’t get it out of my head.

I loathe every part of you in life’s thread.
